SWE
is Superior!
Our
PCCA Symphonic Wind Ensemble (SWE) is truly SUPERIOR!
On March 2, our 27-member ensemble was one of sixteen
groups who participated in the ACSI Concert Band Festival
at Calvary Christian HS in Clearwater. SWE earned the
distinguished rating of “Superior,” the highest
rating a band can receive! Judges described the students
as disciplined, as being well-prepared, as being musically
energetic, and as having outstanding technique.

Encore!
The anticipation for this year's
Theatre Season is the highest it's been since
the department's inception in 2002. Last year, we organized Pine Castle's first
competitive Improv Team. After
auditions, we had ten Improvisers who underwent training
with professional instructors from SAK Comedy Lab (www.sak.com) and went head to head with other
high school teams. When
the dust settled, Pine Castle Christian Academy emerged
as the champions of the inaugural year of the SAK High School League. This
coming year we'll be competing against larger
schools like Boone, Winter Park and Lake Highland. But no fear, we have every intention of
continuing our reign as champions.
Our first production of the year
is Philip King's See How They Run. Our very own Tess
Card is directing and we all look forward to a terrific

New things are happening with our department and as the

The
2006-2007 Upper School Band Season is in full swing!
We are once again in awe of God’s
amazing work in this program and give Him the glory! The
increasing numbers of over 100 students and the continuing
quality of the programs provided gives our Upper School
at PCCA something of which we can all be proud!
A reminder
to all Upper School Band Parents: Practice charts are
due every Wednesday during band class!
Congratulations to the members of the PCCA Symphonic Wind Ensemble! This year’s group is so talented and dedicated.
